The element Air starts with Gemini, the seeker. Gemini expresses its element with its volatility, its permanent search for something. Gemini is one of the smartest signs of the Zodiac thanks to its fast intelligence, its rapid brain.

Sepher Yetzirah says of Gemini: “He made the letter Zain king over motion, and He bound a crown to it, and He combined one with another, and with them He formed Gemini in the Universe, Sivan in the Year, and the left foot in the Soul male and female.”.

Gemini’s discriminating rational thought, its inventiveness and self-sustaining capability are common traits of this sign. The Zohar says that: “None of the other signs (…) have a mouth or tongue but this one, Gemini, has a mouth and tongue…” and this sentence explains the amazing oratorial ability of Gemini. The shape of the letter ז is very similar to the ו with the exception of the shape of the top part. We have seen that ו is a pillar that connects Heaven to Earth. ז is the way back, the ascent from Earth to Heaven, as explained in the video about Etz Haim.
