Vav

Vav corresponds to the Astrological Sign of Taurus.

Vav is the graphical representation of the Creation (descent of the Seed) and the Spine. Its name means “Hook”, as the capacity to hook something and keep it.

Vav marks the center of the Torah, it is the connection point (hook) between two parts, the pillar which brings the Light into the matter.

Vav’s value is 6. 6 as the letters of the word “Bereshit” (בראשית, meaning In the beginning). 6 as the number of the Days of the Creation.

Vav is teaching us the importance of persistence in our lives. Solid as a pillar, think deeply and take action.
