The 12 Simple Letters are: Hey, Vav, Zain, Cheit, Tet, Yud, Lamed, Nun, Samekh, ‘Ain, Tzadde, Quf.

I have already explained that they correspond to the diagonal paths of Etz Haim, the Tree of Life.

They represent the 12 Signs of the Zodiac, 12 is the number of the Time: 12 hours, 12 months, 12 astrological houses, 12 astrological signs.

Hey is Aries, Vav is Taurus, Zain is Gemini, Cheit is Cancer, Tet is Leo, Yud is Virgo, Lamed is Libra, Nun is Scorpio, Samekh is Sagittarius, ‘Ain is Capricorn, Tzadde is Aquarius, Quf is Pisces.
